Moi
I’m Kaitlin. I’m a 20-something female, born and raised in southeastern W.V. I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English from Shepherd University in 2008. I lived in Washington, D.C. for a while, getting my M.S. in Applied Linguistics at Georgetown University. I am now a 2010 Teach for America Corps member in Memphis, TN, teaching high school English.
My life goal is to be a strong matriarch, living in a little cabin in the woods with a full veggie garden and a bunch of chickens running around. I strive toward wisdom in everyday life, even if that involves making a lot of mistakes along the way.
I also want to develop curriculum and teaching materials for English as a Second Language or Language Arts. I also think I’d be perfectly happy with being in a classroom for the rest of my life.
I enjoy literature, coffee, good music, close friends, camping, Transcendentalism, Wesleyan philosophy, and apple cider.
I miss Lost.

Events in your life can define who you are not, as much as they can define who you are. Who you are now is not who you will be in twenty years, twenty months, twenty weeks. Every experience you have makes you who you are going to be or who you are not going to be. It’s a journey not a destination…it’s a process not a definition.
